I haven’t written about this subject in a while, but the news a month ago of the void found in the Great Pyramid by the “Scans Pyramid” group of French and Japanese scientists is of course very interesting. The void, located some 70 meters above the grand gallery, is a space almost as large and has a sort of cigar shaped appearance.
The article on it by National Geographic is a good overview of it including photographs.
The speculation is rampant. Another grand gallery, another chamber, the hall of records, wild ones like a parked alien spaceship, and of course archeologists are pushing the tomb chamber filled with treasure- as for them the pyramids are tombs and only tombs.
While I don’t want to fully speculate, I do want to point out a major error in the reports. That this is the first discovery of a space inside the pyramids on over 150 years. This is just not the case. Anyone in the know, knows there is far more to the Great Pyramid than the basic structure that we have been given (or for that matter the other 2 major pyramids on the Giza Plateau that tend to constantly be ignored…but I can discuss that in a new post because that in itself is quite a story.
There has been lots of presentation of new parts of the pyramid, but those discoveries get mostly hidden from the mainstream media and documentaries. The void has been showcased, because perhaps this one is too big to hide.
Recall that around 10 years ago a small indentation on the NE corner was found, in fact by the very team who later found the void. The climbed up to what is basically a 9 square m space into the corner of the pyramid. The ceiling is quite high and is obviosuly type or room. what for? Why is it there. Do other corners have someetinig similar? You can catch a bit of the room in a documentary by Bob Brier.
As well are the findings of Robert Houdin, he who has the inner ramp building theory. He is interested in a stone just to the right of sarcrofagus box in the King’s Chamber that is a similar size as the space where the current entrance is. The stone itself is not hte same as the other granite blocks used in the chamber, and he suggests it was added much later to seal off a second entrance. He suggested an entire system running concurrent with the grand gallery that included vaulted ceilings similar to what is found in the pyramids at Daschur. Either way his theory takes on more possibility as the found void is right around where he was suggesting to find a new passage and series of rooms towards the Kings Chamber. Info on Houdin’s second entrance theory is here
First were the stories of JO Kinneman that he and Flinders Petrie entered the pyramid in the 1920’s via a previously unknown entrance on the south-west face (not the normal north face). No one has confirmed this, just some old private lectures JO gave, but it is up for debate. I have been intrigued by the south face of the pyramid because of some odd indentations that occur halfway up (see photo) that in fact could indeed be an entrance.
I have a few other pieces of relavant information about this pyramid, which unfortunatey at this time I am unable to share publicly. I think it provides more detail on exactly what this building was for, but as I say it may be years before I speak this openly. It is quite amazing though to say the least.
So what is the point of this post? I haven’t said much new or revealing here. The point is that we know so little of the structures that stand in ancient Egypt. The more books try to tell this is the answer, the farther away they seem to get from the deepest truths of this place. These structures are profound mysteries still. Some close to the scene know far more than they wish to or are allowed to share. But perhaps this is a start of getting the lid of more of the hidden surrounding all that is on, and under (and there is a lot underground) the Giza Plateau. From the possibility of a second sphinx, and underground city and temple complex, various unknown chambers in all the pyramids…basically until it can all be found and presented, it will all still be a massive mystery.
The key is, keep questioning. Keep looking deeper. The ancient knew far more than we can even imagine. I am reading the book Fools Crow-Wisdom and Power by Thomas Mails, and it is a shame he was not still alive to ask him what he might know of the Ancient Egyptian structures and knowledge. As such, we all have to keep digging for ourselves and presenting more and more of what we find, to maybe help the next researcher find the key that unlocks the bigger lock for all of us.
If anyone says they know 100% for sure things like how the pyramids were built, or what this was for, ignore them. All is just speculation and theory, until the entire whole can be seen, no part can be for sure seen correctly.
Cheers my friends
